Behind The Paint Brush:

 

My name is Lois Thompson, I was born in Nigeria in a place called Calabar in 1954, although I  grew up in Birmingham.

I have been married to Brian since 1974. We live on the south coast in Hampshire.  We have two beautiful married daughters. Mrs Jennifer Hoyle who is married to Phil and Mrs Elizabeth Thompson- Gay who is married to Gareth. We have four grandsons including twin boys. 

 

I attended Winchester School of Art Foundation Course.  I Graduated in a Degree in Visual Studies, in the year 2000 at Portsmouth University.

After my graduation, I worked  at The Kings School in Fair Oak teaching art to GCSE level.

Art for me:

Art is one of Gods languages, when he speaks to us he is communicating love.  Sometimes we need to receive his love in a way words find difficult to express.  I want my work to be rooted in life with all its ups and downs.
